Dear Professionals, It is our pleasure to invite you to SoFerence 2019. This year we have chosen to host it at our Olympus Campus in Thane, Mumbai on Saturday, 7th Dec 2019. "SoFerence" is now established as a unique day-long 'Social Conference' in the field of LIS and related areas. It provides a platform for sharing of experiences and ideas, in the form of Success Stories, Learnings, Case Studies, Best Practices and the like. Dear All We take great pleasure in informing you that Ahmedabad Library Network (ADINET) organises a seminar every year in collaboration with institutes of national importance and higher learning. This year Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad is hosting this event on 14 September 2019, Saturday as it is the 100th birth centenary year of Prof Vikram Sarabhai who was the founder of PRL. Also, this year ADINET will be completing 25 years in the month of October 2019. Hence this will be a joint celebration, - the Librarians’ Day and the Silver Jubilee Celebration of ADINET. One of the major objectives of this seminar is to bring together Library & Information Professionals working in Libraries in Gujarat and outside Gujarat to exchange their ideas, new initiatives, rich experiences and viewpoints about future of libraries for mutual benefit. The proposed sub-themes of the seminar are : 1. Use of New Information Technology in Future Libraries 2. Rethinking Role of Libraries in National Development 3. Providing Innovative Services Program will include a Keynote address, a few invited talks by eminent library professionals from India, especially from S & T libraries and a select few contributory papers. To encourage larger participation, we will also have poster sessions by students of MLISc.
