Dear Friends,
I am happy to know the keenness of the professionals in development of the
Professional Association and also in inmprovement of the service
conditions of the professionals.
As explained by Mr.Angadi, IALA memorandum is prepared in response to the
termes of reference of UGC-PRC. But it doesn't mean that the IALA will not
fight for the cause of professional assistants. We assure Mr Singh and
other friends who are agrieved of their genuine opportunities, IALA will
definetly figh for their cause on different platforms at different time.
Please be assured that IALA will definetly take care of all the Academic
Librarians provided we all together build it strongly.
Hoping for all your support and timely guidance and advise.
Thanks,
Konnur.
President, IALA

Dear friends and professional colleagues, After going through memorandum
to be submitted to the PRC committee which is available on the IALA
website, it is found that there is no promotional avenue for the staff
below the rank of Assistant Librarian i.e., Information Scientist,
Professional Assistant, Semi- Professional Assistant, and Library
Attendants in the university libraries.
