Congratulations to Dr. Gopakumar. V, the new University Librarian of the Digital University of Kerala
I congratulate Dr. Gopakumar. V and wish all success to him, who started a new mission as the University Librarian of the Digital University of Kerala and as the Head of DUK Knowledge Center. In the new role, he will lead the setting up of a new generation library and services for a brand new State-owned research university. Dr. Gopakumar does not need an introduction to the Indian library forums. His commendable services and leadership experiences as an academic librarian, professor, trainer, mentor, and researcher span over 37 years of long and active involvement in academia. He was the University Librarian and Head of the DLISc at Goa University for more than 10 years. Dr. Gopakumar was instrumental in uplifting the library with the new library management system, repository services, and also in establishing the DLISc at Goa University. He also worked as a librarian in many colleges in Kerala. He has published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, made numerous conference presentations and workshops, edited and translated professional and literary works, successfully organized high-quality international conferences, and also took part in several national expert committees.
