The position will be offered for a period of 11 months from the date of joining. Positions are purely temporary, and those selected will have no claim towards permanent appointment. Central Library is fully computerized, subscribes to major e-resources and provides network based information services. It is kept open for longer hours on weekdays, weekends, holidays and vacations. The essential requirements and other details for these positions are as given below:   Essential Qualifications & other requirements: Master’s in Library & Information Science with a first class. Sound working knowledge of basic IT tools, Web Based Information Resources. Good Knowledge of Library Management Software, E-Resources. Good communication skills in English. Knowledge about developing websites will be an added advantage.   Nature of traineeship: Trainees will be provided with an opportunity to work in different sections of the library Acquisitions, Classification, Journal Management, Digital Library, Library Services, and learn modern library management techniques and web based services.   Duration: The duration of traineeship will be for eleven months.   Remuneration: Selected candidates will be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs. 15,000/- per month   The selection will be through a written test and interview which will be held at 10a.m. on 18th June, 2013, at CUG Campus.   Interested candidates who meet the above mentioned requirements may send their application with resume along with a passport size photograph affixed at library@cug.ac.in by 18th June, 2013. and directly come for the written test & interview.
