Yet another Journal adopts OJS (Open Journal System from PKP).

Dear Friends, Indian Journal of Medical Informatics (IJMI) - http://ijmi.org has adopted OJS (Open Journal System from PKP) for its online version. IJMI is an Official Organ of the Indian Association for Medical Informatics (IAMI) - http://www.iami.org.in. IAMI, dominated by professional doctors in regard to its membership, aims to promote use of Computers and IT for better health care. I am its life member and on its executive committee. IAMI had offered me to be acting Editor-in-Chief up to this November and Executive Editor for next four year. I had proposed IJMI Editorial Board to make IJMI an Open Access journal using OJS. Board readily accepted my proposal. They immediately purchased 80 MB web space and a Domain name for the Journal. OJS was installed and everything went well. Its first online issue is now online having an editorial "The Metamorphosis of the Indian Journal of Medical Informatics" By Dr. Suptendra Nath Sarbadhikari - http://ijmi.org/index.php/ijmi/article/view/y07i1esns/6 --Sukhdev Singh. Hats off to this great initiative! The web hosted Open Access version of the IJMI will not only cut the cost by solving the logistics problems but also save the valuable time and energy. The vast accessibility will help the cause of visibilty and bring more impact factor. The interacive nature of information communication will encourage more robust and live academic debates from informed users of this facility.
