It's more than 2 decades since Dr. Vatnal left CSIR NAL still his smiling
face looms large in front of my eyes. He was such a pleasant, hardworking
n sincere personality that hardly anyone can forget him. Even after joining
NCSI course, he was constantly in touch with us. His efforts in
establishing campus wide network through out KUD is highly laudable.
Somehow I cannot come to terms of his untimely demise. I pray to Almighty
to give strength to his family members to overcome this irreparable loss.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Dear All,
Indeed it’s very sad news for me to digest that Dr. R.M.Vatnal, who was
working as Deputy Librarian, Karnataka University, Dharwad he is no more.
We studied together (BLIS/MLIS, 1991-1993; later at NCSI also), we grown up
as a Library Professionals together. We were always in touch, except the
last unfortunate week. He was true and committed professional. He was
actively involved in all the professional activities of KUD Library and for

heartedly to give a courage and strength to his family to bear this
untimely loss. May his soul rest in peace.
