I am pleased to announce a national level workshop on Koha: an Integrated Library Management Software from 28-30 May 2012. Purpose of the workshop is to familiarize participants with Koha, an open source software. Training provides all the technical know-how to the participants from the installation, customization, backup / restore, upgrade as well as running various modules of the software. Koha is used widely in India as well as all over the world. Many libraries are switching over to Koha from proprietary software.

Venue: Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), Pune

Koha Software supports all modules of Library Management System such as Acquisitions, Cataloging, Circulation, Serials Control and Web based OPAC, etc. The software is UNICODE compliant and runs on any operating system such as Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, FreeBSD, and Solaris.
