Dear All, Greetings !! Great news for all school library professionals and LIS researchers around the globe. IFLA School Libraries Standing Committee has just released the IFLA School Library Guidelines, 2nd edition, edited by Dianne Oberg and Barbara Schultz-Jones. This is the new edition of the School Library Guidelines, approved by the IFLA Professional Committee in June 2015. These guidelines constitute the second edition of the IFLA ‘School Library Guidelines’. The first edition of the school library guidelines was developed in 2002 by the School Libraries Section, then called the School Libraries and Resource Centers Section. These guidelines have been developed to assist school library professionals and educational decision-makers in their efforts to ensure that all students and teachers have access to effective school library programs and services, delivered by qualified school library personnel.
