Dear Sir, We have separate Departmental Libraries in all our respective departments. Where they are having separate budget other than Central Library Budget.  Other than this the departments generate funds/books from donation or against fine etc.  In allied branches, or where UG and PG are of the same programme, there the students can get the books form their department itself as the Central Library is not procuring more copies of the same author/same title. Teaching staff can use the books in department itself( not need to borrow on their library card) In our Library committee, a teaching faculty of each department has a role as a Departmental Library Coordinator and he/She is admin for the departmental library of that respective department. Students are handling that Library. For accessioning and any queries related to Library management, Central Library is always there to help them. We help them to procure the books through our vendor and even give suggestions regarding the books in demand. Even we provide them the book tag or library card design and help/train the students for issuing procedure as some departments issue the books of their departmental Library.   Our Library collection is excluding the collection of the departmental Library Collection. But in some colleges the total collection is Central Library Collection + Departmental Library Collection. But in that case the stock verification of the Departmental Library should be carried out periodically by the Central Library itself.
