The inauguration of the National Conference on Library 2.0: The Confluence of Web 2.0 and the Library Paradigm will be held on August 21, 2008 at the Bahadur Institute of Management Science, Manasagangotri, Hunsur Road, Mysore. The conference will be inaugurated by Sri. K. Jayakumar, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Kerala. Prof. N. Balakrishnan, Associate Director, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore will give the Keynote Address. Prof. H.A. Khan, Former Chairman, Department of Library and Information Science, University of Mysore, Mysore will preside over the function. The two-day conference is being organised by Department of Library and Information Science, University of Mysore, Mysore as an event under UGC-SAP. Prof. V.G. Talawar is the programme director and Dr. Khaiser Nikam is the rappoteur general. The conference has six sessions. Each session will start with a presentation of a key paper followed by presentation of submitted paper. Each session is moderated by a Chair. The key speakers in the Conference are Prof. A. Neelameghan, Prof. I.K. Ravichandra Rao, Dr. Shalini R. Urs, Dr. Samyukta Ravi, and Dr. Venkadesan. The conference will have a tutorial and a pannel discussion.
