Most of the digital libraries offer this service. or you can get this service separately if your software doesn't support it. Mail Alert facility : It is another feature of digital libraries, in this as soon any new journal arrives in the library, users get the mail alerts automatically, Basically users can set different types of alerts to be received e.g. Book overdue alert, Fine alert, New arrival alert, event alert, and many more, Mail alert facility can be used by Librarians also for tracking periodicals or due payments.
