Prakash Roja Muthiah Research Library ======================================================================================================= Dear Professionals, Roja Muthiah Research Library will be organizing two day workshop on Koha (hands on training) on July 15 and 16, 2011 at Chennai. *Empowering Libraries & Archives Series* Workshop on Koha 3.4 Linux based Open Source Integrated Library System on July 15-16, 2011 at Roja Muthiah Research Library, Taramani, Chennai Roja Muthiah Research Library has launched a series of workshops titled “Empowering Libraries and Archives”. This first workshop will be aimed at the installation and the use of Koha for libraries and archives. Koha i s the world' s first Free Open Source Integrated Library System. The Koha system is an integrated system of catalogue, OPAC, circulation, member management, serials, and acquisitions package. Koha is web-based ILS, with a SQL database back-end with cataloguing data stored in MARC and accessible via Z39.50. *Course fee: 1500/ -* ( inclusive of lunch) . For Library Science student s Rs . 1000/ - . The course is limited to fifteen participants only. They will be accommodated on first come first served basis . No accommodation will be provided.
