We have been conducting events and activities for children for the past 8 years with the aim of bringing more children into the library and encourage their habit of reading. We are right now in the process of launching a model children's library in the city of Chennai, India in partnership with the Goethe Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan. Both Hippocampus and Max Mueller Bhavan took this initiative of creating a library as an open and safe public space for children and youth for learning, and communicating, while focusing on the informational, educational and recreational needs of younger generations.
