Dear Professional Colleagues There is interesting topic related to jobs and operations performed in library and documentation centres. Presently, the LIS professionals are working and performing the various jobs of library in manual / traditional phenomenon. but, we are aware and agree that there is a certain influence of ICT on our profession. After the introduction of ICT application in libraries, there is a definite impact on different areas of library, i.e., time to perform the library jobs, frequency of job, the number of staff and what type & level of staff required in libraries, etc. and to assess this impact, it is necessary to discuss this issue widely.
