Dear Professional friends, It is great news for the library science professionals. IALA has initiated publication initiatives along with its other Association Activities of protecting the interest of fellow professionals. The first two titles have alreary been released to the market and both the titles appears to be very relevant to the present day librarianship. To day, many young librarians who are beginners in the profession are finding lots of difficulties in implementing ICT and modern practice in libraries without having somebody's assistance. Unfortunately Librarian is a single post in every small library. Principals and other stake holders expect us to modernize the libraries. Every day they expect a new service or new ICT practice to be implemented. Thanks to the discussion forums we learn a lot from the discussion on these platforms. But, still for implementation we need a ready-reckner like books. At least to refer, some practices which are already implemented by some of the professional experts will help some of us to try and adapt in our libraries also. I hope these books will be very useful to young and modern librarians as they have started their career in different arena. Any success in the market is measured by its consumption rate, professional should encourage this initial initiative of IALA by procuring of these titles in their respective libraries and departments to render qualitative service to their customers and students by educating practical analysis.
