Embedded with electronics, Internet connectivity, and other forms of hardware (such as sensors), these devices can communicate and interact with others over the Internet, and they can be remotely monitored and controlled. There are numerous real-world applications of the internet of things, ranging from consumer IoT and enterprise IoT to manufacturing and industrial IoT (IIoT). IoT applications span numerous verticals, including automotive, telco, energy, health, farming, entertainment, infrastructure, appliances and more. This half-a-day mini tutorial will provide an overview of IoT through the following sessions and make one familiarize with the fast growing technology framework. .
