Jay Bhatt Receives the Homer Bernhardt Distinguished Service Award
*April 29, 2010* Jay Bhatt, the librarian for engineering, received the
Homer I. Bernhardt Distinguished Service Award from the American Society for
Engineering Education Engineering Libraries Division.
Each year at the ASEE Annual Conference, the Engineering Libraries Division
presents an award to an outstanding librarian. Bhatt will be recognized for
his work that contributes greatly to the advancement and development of
excellence in the engineering aspect of the library.
Bhatt was nominated by the Drexel community. As read in his nomination
letter, his colleagues believe that “his record in reaching out to many
constituencies, promotion of information literacy, authoring original
