Dear Sir/Madam The *Department of Library and Information Science, *University of Kerala, established in 1961 on the initiative of the then University Librarian *Professor K A Isaac*, is the premier school of Library and Information Science in Kerala and one of the early teaching and research departments in the University. Now it has completed 50 years of years creditable functions . The Department and the Alumni Association of the Department have decided to organize the Golden Jubilee Celebrations in a befitting manner. We propose to organize a series of academic programmes including seminars, workshops, conferences, debates etc. *Sri G Sudhakaran*, Hon.
