Dear Professionals, Hearty congratulations to new Office Bearers of IATLIS. I wish and hope that the team under leadership of Dr. Jagatar Singh will try to fill up the existing artificial gap between the Practicing Librarians and LIS Teachers. Contributions of both are mutually complimentary. Ours is a noble profession. Everyone of us have to do our best to build up the slowly sinking image of our Profession. National LIS Associations like IATLIS, ILA, IASLIC and state level professional associations should join the hands in this direction. Just by creating new associations for promoting self interest and conducting Seminars/Conferences we can't achieve our goals. We need to inculcate service attitude, develop our skill set to serve our patrons in digital environment.
