Training The Trainers: Workshop on Information Literacy & Competency

Dear professional Collegues, Information available on Internet in public domain as well as through different subscription based databases provided by various hosts and aggregators plays a very important role in teaching, learning and research. For maximum utilization of these resources in academics the need of the hour is to make the users of information competent enough for retrieving precise and relevant information as per their needs. In this context the libraries and information centers has a very important role to play. With a view to educate the users and enhance their capabilities about electronic resources and make them competent for retrieving precise and relevant information through Internet, DULS has started regular Information Literacy Programme since, 2006. In continuation to its programs and activities DULS is organizing a two-days Training The Trainers: Workshop on Information Literacy & Competency for University and College Library Professionals. The goal is to train the library and information professionals for onward transmission of the skills to end users. Who can participate Library Professionals from University of Delhi and its Colleges of the under mentioned categories can participate in the program: * Deputy Librarians * Assistant Librarians * College Librarians * Professional Assistants working in DULS and Colleges.
