Dear All, A half-day free workshop on 'Six Sigma for LIS Professionals' is being organized by NCSI-Net Foundation in collaboration with Karnataka State Library Association (KALA) and Raman Research Institute (RRI). Six Sigma Black Belt experts from the industry will be sharing their expertise knowledge during the workshop. Fellow professionals are encouraged to attend the seminar and get to understand the set of techniques and tools for process improvement. Lakshmeesha S Lakshmeesha is leading a team of professionals focusing on Intellectual Property, Technology and Market analysis, at GE Global Research, JFWTC, Bangalore. He has over 20 years of professional experience spanning Research, People Management, Software Program execution and Technology strategy. He has been associated with the Six Sigma activities for the last 14 years and is a Certified DFSS Master Black Belt. He has mentored many Black Belts and Green Belts both in technology as well as functions. He is also an active coach in many of the six sigma training sessions. He has led many Lean work outs, which aim at simplifying the existing process. He has a master's degree in Bio Medical Engineering and Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation technology. He has deep interest in Healthcare technologies, TRIZ for problem solving, Lean Six sigma, apart from Intellectual Property Strategy. Ananda Byrappa Ananda Byrappa has 15 plus years of industry experience in IT, Media and R & D sectors. He is currently serving at GE as Global Leader for GE's Knowledge Center.
