About the Talk:
The sharing session provides information about the approach and
philosophy behind NTU's instructional programme for students and staff.
The presentation also aims at providing an overview on the history and
growth of the instructional activities at the library along with the
plans on developing a modular and matrix method to provide a flexible
means to raise the information awareness and literacy skills of students
throughout their stay in the University.
About the Speaker:
Rashmi is the Head of Instructional Services Division at Nanyang
Technological University library, Singapore. More than a decade long
experience in working with children, young adults and adult learners has
contributed to her current responsibilities in co-ordinating Information
Literacy (IL) programmes at NTU, campus wide. Being a council member of
Library Association of Singapore (LAS) she hopes to develop an interest
group for Information Literacy in the region and provide support at
various levels.
