Nominations are invited for Satinder Kaur Ramdev Memorial Trust for Advancement of Librarianship (SATKAL) Awards for the year 2013. These Awards are given each year to individuals for their perceptible contribution to the Library and Information profession for advancement of librarianship. The closing date for receiving nominations is 31 January 2014. Kindly send your nominations for the following awards: · National Librarian Award · Woman Librarian Award · Young Librarian Award · School Librarian Award Eligibility: Library and Information Science professionals working in India or abroad are eligible to apply. At least 20 year experience in case of National Librarian Award and Women Librarian Award, and 10 year experience in for Young Librarian Award and School Librarian Award is necessary. For Young Librarian Award, professionals must be below 45 years. The self nominations will not be considered and a person can nominate only one person for each category. In case of school librarian it should be recommended by the principal of the school. Written nominations must include: Name of the nominee, job title, organization, mailing address, phone no., email address, award category, a detailed profile highlighting the educational & professional experience, significant contribution made in the field of library and information science/services, publications, a paragraph (one page) justifying nomination for the award.
