Dear All,
This a very relevant topic of the conference. In-fact LIS
professionals should actively involve themselves with this "Open"
Mantra ( as Dr. ARD Prasad puts it - Open Source, Open Access, Open
Standards).
BTW, on 24 September 2009, I presented a keynote paper on this very
theme i.e. Open Source Software in Libraries at NACLIN 2009, PU
Chandigarh http://www.naclin.org/conference_Presentation24.html My
presentation is also available from my Slideshare Account (as usual) -
http://www.slideshare.net/sukhi/open-source-software-in-libraries
Hope it would help prospective authors of the conference.
Regards
Sukhdev Singh, NIC.
