Hi Veeresh,
Most online databases are prohibitive because of their cost. I would
recommend the following in order of priority (I have been Librarian at
premier Engg colleges before & now working for a corporate) based cost &
on the possibility of justifying it to Management:
NetLibrary- database of ebooks
Safari Online - database of ebooks
EBSCO Science & Technology (you can share it with your Sc. College too)
Engineering Village
ACM Digital Library
You can also create an Elibrary with FindArticles, Ingenta & links to
Enggg journals & buy ecopies of requested articles by paying per view,
instead of annual subscriptions. You can for a Library Committee of Senior
students & volunteer faculty to do selections regularly.

Hello Everybody
Can anyone of you suggest me useful databases (online and offline) for an
engineering college library?
