LibTech Award Nominations Invited
Dear Professionals, LibTech Award – Nominate Your Library – Present Case Study – Submit Your Paper - Participate in Opinion Pole in the Selection Process Libraries are increasingly technology empowered. Judicious and insightful Investment in technologies are major strategic decisions as the rate of change and obsolescence with technologies are too high. Sharing knowledge gained and best practices followed in implementing technologies is a useful practice. To promote this sharing practice, we introduced in LTC2018 an exclusive session on. “Technology Empowered Libraries: Cases Studies in Best Practices” which is continued in LTC2019. This 90-minute session is an exciting part of the Conclave as it carries LibTech2019 award instituted since last LTC. 1. Libraries are invited to send their nominate for this session. (Please visit the Conclave website – www.ltc2019.com for details). 2. A committee of five juries lead by Dr. Marshall Breeding, an internationally recognized library technology review expert ( https://librarytechnology.org/), will evaluate the nominations to select the best ten of them. 3. The ten best selected nominations will be invited to: (a) present the technologies implemented effectively in their libraries in an exclusive session on Technology Empowered Libraries in the Conclave; and (b) submit an authored paper also on their technology empowered library as a case-study which will be published in the Conclave proceedings. 4. The presentation will be observed and reviewed by the members of the Jury. Additionally, all the delegates attending the Conclave will be invited to rate the presented case studies. The Jury will take into account average of this rating with certain weightage in the process of selection for LibTech2019 award. December 10th is the last date to submit the nomination for the Best Technology Empowered Library session and the award. The LibTeh2019 award will be presented at the Valedictory Session of the Conclave. Nominate your Library for this Award.
