Ever since 1968, the annual National Library Week puts a spotlight on our libraries, reflecting their challenges and celebrating their achievements. He currently serves as the Director of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA)-Southern Regional Centre. He has established the Archive of Indian Music (AIM), the first digital sound archive for the country for gramophone recordings and is the Founder Director of the Bangalore Literature Festival. Shinie Antony is a writer based in Bangalore. Her books include Barefoot and Pregnant, Seance on a Sunday Afternoon, When Mira Went Forth and Multiplied and Why We Don't Talk. She won the Commonwealth Short Story Asia region prize in 2003 for her story A Dog's Death and is co-founder of the Bangalore Literature Festival. You are cordially invited to the Inauguration.
