He will contextualize this to issues pertaining to India and will focus on cyber security breaches. He will share the UK experience to indicate what the UK did to bring this forward as a matter of national concern with the view of highlighting how this might happen in India also. He will be highlighting on the career options for graduates who have specialist cyber security education and experience. He will also touch on the ‘threat landscape’ to indicate how criminal cartels are operating in Europe to cause some of the biggest Cyber Security problems around the world. This would be of interest to us as the threat landscape in India has not yet matured. About the Speaker ============== Mr. Harjinder Singh Lallie is presently Senior Teaching Fellow (Cyber Security) and Course Leader for M. Sc. Cyber Security and Management, Leader for Security Architectures and Network Defence, Cryptosystems and Data Protection and Digital Evidence, Forensics and Intelligence at University of Warwick, UK. Earlier he has worked as Senior Lecturer in Computing with duties including: Subject Coordinator (Computer Forensics and Security); Programme Leader: BSc Computer Forensics and Security and M.Sc. Forensic Computing & Security (2007 to 2011); Validation Leader UG Programmes (2009); Validation Leader PG programmes (2010); B.Sc. Computer Networks Programme Leader (2002-2008); Networks Security and Forensics Subject Health Group Leader (2009-2011) at University of Derby, UK. He was also responsible for the international role - Marketing of University of Derby programmes in India and development of international collaborations (2002 to 2011), Induction coordinator (1999-2011), Chair of the Race Equality Group (2006-2009) and Chair of UCU (2001-2011). He has authored a book “The Gursikh Legacy” - published in August 1997.
