Although each one of the researchers actually works on a different research question, there are many common problems that most of the researchers face. The quality of a piece of research is a function of the quality of data, the data analysis tools employed and the way the research outcome is presented. Some of the questions that most researchers face are: - How does one go about selecting a research problem? - What is a hypothesis? How to formulate hypotheses? - What are the most appropriate methods for data collection and the relevant statistical tools / tests for data analysis? How to decide on the appropriate instrument for data collection and how to design one? How to analyze and present data? How to interpret data? - What is technical writing and what are the components of a good technical report / theses? How to present ideas in technical writing? Objectives of the Workshop The workshop aims at answering the questions stated above.
