Dear Members, A very good document providing step-by-step practical guidelines for starting an Institutional Repository (IR) using DSpace software developed by Mr Hilton Gibson and his colleagues at Stellenbosch University, South Africa . It is the 26th version of this guide, which has updates regarding upgrade from DSpace 1.8.2 to 3.2. The guidelines provided are targeted at academic institutions in developing countries world wide who want to start an open access research repository and who want to know in detail what is required and how to do it step-by-step . The guidelines below take a holistic and integrated approach to research institutional repository management.
