The aim is to recognize and focus on new areas of knowledge modelling and knowledge management. Therefore philosophy, logic, linguistics, cognitive science, health care, management science, media, etc. are relevant areas, too. Knowledge modelling is becoming increasingly an important topic for researchers, designers and users of intelligent systems. It encompasses a cross disciplinary approach to capture and model knowledge in a way to facilitate preservation of knowledge and ensure it can be aggregated, substituted, improved, shared and reapplied. The modelling is done to create a machine interpretable model of knowledge which should be used to stimulate intelligence. Knowledge management is concerned with the effective and efficient management of the organization's intellectual assets, consisting of tools, techniques and processes that govern the entire process of identifying and creating knowledge, representing, distributing and the utilization of knowledge. However, capturing, analysing, representing and manipulating the heterogeneous nature of knowledge was and is still challenging from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
