Present Internet age has a lot of positive impact on Digital Information Systems and Services Management. Innovations in technology have lead to the emergence of a new phase in library development through timely application of digital technology. Added to this is the accelerated convergence of communication technologies with publishing and the media. Services become possible in the libraries only by implementing digitization activities. This upgrades libraries to provide better quality and a greater diversity of services and management than they currently are able to do with analogue technology. Utilizing these opportunities, libraries are harnessing better quality services to users. This national seminar is designed to provide an opportunity to discuss various aspects of “Digital Information Systems and Services Management” across the country. It aims at bringing together librarians of various engineering colleges and related premier institutes to deliberate on the challenges and issues concerning the theme of the seminar.
