Some of the topics that will be covered will be image capturing systems, devices for automated scanning of books. The focus is on a device that was developed, that can turn the sides of a bounded book automatically, while the book is scanned and the operator is free for other tasks. A New Concept for Spectral Image Capturing, future prospects of Print-on-Demand (PoD) technology, conditions of light radiation in screened prints are other areas that will be covered. His Ph.D. thesis dealt with the Yule-Nielsen effect, a color shift in screened printed images. With his academic degree H�bler joined the Bertelsmann Group, a leading media house. After different positions, he was technical director at Mohndruck in G�tersloh, the largest printing plant in Europe for nearly three years. 1997 he assumed the chair of the professorship Print and Media Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology.
