Kolkata) is inviting applications from trained Library and Information Science graduates, for placing them in the library of a Kolkata-based institute. The requirements are: 1. Minimum qualification: M.Lib.Sc with good result and strong aptitude towards working in fully computerized environment. 2. Desirable: Training in MS-Office (ability to work with MS Access and spreadsheet) and other software necessary for library work. 3. Experience: A few of the positions will be filled up with professionals already having working experiences in large libraries. At the maximum level, the experience should be in the area of one or more of (i) working with MARC-21 record structure (ii) working with library software such as Libsys, Softlink, Virtua, KOHA (iii) record management for electronic resources (iv) knowledge of cataloguing, classification, metadata. Rest of the positions will be filled up with professional with less experience (in terms of the area of experience and/or years of experience). Fresh graduates may also be considered if found suitable. 4. Remuneration: Rs 9,000 – Rs 18,000/ p.m. depending on range and number of years of experience. 5. Duration: The positions are purely on contractual basis and initially for one year. Hence permanent position holders must not apply. Interested individuals may send their resume.
