Condolence Message from MILAN Mysore
It is with great sadness that the Mysore University Information and Library Science Alumni Network (MILAN) share the sad news of the death of our MILANer Aruna P.R., on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Bengaluru. Smt. Aruna P.R. was the Executive Committee Member of MILAN during 2014-2015. Her active involvement in the Golden Jubilee Celebration of MyDLIS (Department of Library and Information Science, University of Mysore, Mysore) and establishing MILAN is always remembered. Smt. Aruna P.R. did her Bachelors in Library Science in 1975-76 and Master Program in 1976-77 at MyDLIS. Her professional journey started at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and moved to Delhi joining Eicher Tractors serving till 1995. Her long and dedicated service at Library of Congress Delhi Center as Acquisitions Head during 1996 to 2011 has earned much appreciation. Recently, MILAN lost its member and Smt. Aruna's husband Sri.G. Sundar Singh. MILAN conveys our deepest condolences to the family and friends. May God Bless peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreplaceable loss. Our thoughts and prayers will always be with the family. I'm sorry to learn about the passing away of Smt. Aruna. On behalf of myself and the NCSI-Net foundation, I express our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family members.
Mr. Singh and Smt Aruna were a blessed couple that both of them passed away within a short span of time.
May their souls rest in peace.
