*Dear All* *We are happy to inform that the Vidya Prasarak Mandal, Thane (Maharashtra) has inaugurated the project of* BIBLIOGRAPHIC UNION DATABASE OF PUBLIC LIBRARIES IN KONKAN AREA The Union Catalogue website www.granthalaya.org has been inaugurated on 26th January 2009 . All the professionals are requested to visit the site and give feedback. In this project VPM,Thane intends to create bibliographic union database of holdings of all the public libraries in Konkan area including Thane. After completion of it, one would be in a position to know about the availability and location of the books in public libraries of Konkan area.
