Respected Professionals, I am very new in the profession but i feel there is need for the thrust of knowledge in our professional for establishing thenselves among the other professions. see we all always worried abt the standard of our professionals with respect to the knowledge and compatibility with the newly emerged knowledge and trends.dont you all thinks at one side we worried abt that all and another side if any of us wants to upgrade themselves with any parttime courses we restrict them, i think this is the dual mentality. i feel our existance is still like a storekeepers, if we truely wanna to make people realise importance of our profession and ourselves we encourage the like peoples to learn and updated more for survival. Phd is not only a need for increment but also for knowledge. you all are senior and most respectful to me but i would like to say thet if u all see the reality we are (not all) legging behind. all the professions allow their professionals to join the training and courses but in case of us all upper level people think there is no need to librarians for training and other expertise. do some thing positive , if we not choose to lead, we always led by others.
