School of Library and Information Science, Central University of Gujarat is happy to announce admissions to the Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Library and Information Management (PGDLIM) and Master in Library and Information Science (M.L.I.SC) for the year 2018-19. *PGDLIM (One Year) * The PGDLIM course caters to the technological needs of the aspiring library professionals and other technical professionals interested in Digital Library Management. The PGDLIM course will enable the students to understand key elements of digital library and information management. The intention of the course is to acquaint the students in digitization activities in libraries of all levels i.e. schools, colleges, universities, public libraries, and research organizations. *M.L.I.SC http://M.L.I.SC. (Two Year)* Central University of Gujarat has started the Master of Library and Information Science (M.L.I.SC.) (Two-year) program from 2012 with a view to produce trained professionals in the areas of library and information science. The programme covers wide range of subjects such as Digital Library, Library Software, Information Management, and Legal Framework of information objects, Preservation of Digital Objects, Information File Formats, Standards, Protocols, Interoperability and other related topics. Students are given summer internship, library visits and practical training in the actual use of Digital Library software and management of Libraries and Information Centers.
