Re: [bytesforall_readers] Introducing: FSUG, Bangalore
Dear Rakesh and Friends:
Congrats on your work to promote Free Software. I have a suggestion. You may
also promote open access to scientific and scholarly journal literature. For
a clear idea of open access and its tremendous benefits, please look up
"Open Access News" the daily blog of Prof. Peter Suber. Or, if you live in
Bangalore, visit NCSI at IISc and talk to Mr Francis Jayakanth. If you live
in New Delhi, visit NIC and meet Mr Sukhdev Singh or Dr Naina Panditha. They
are running 'OpenMED' an open access archive for biomedical literature. If
you are in Bombay, you may talk to Dr D K Sahu of MedKnow Publications.
Thanks and best wishes.
Arun
