Its collection includes Printed(Books, Journals etc) and electronic media ( e-Journals, e-books, Digital Library, Subscription to databases etc). Selected candidate will be working with the K-Centre & Information Services team in providing Library & Information services to the users. Only Fresher with the following qualifications can apply. Candidates who are apprearing/appeared for exam and expect/ing their results by May 2010 or early June 2010 can also apply by providing their previous years. Educational Qualification: * BLISc or Any other degree with Library & Information Science as an optional paper/specialized (Regular course only) or . * Diploma in Library Science with any other Bachelor Degree (Regular course only) or. * MLISc (Regular course only) Essential Skills: * Fluency in English (Written & Spoken). * Library classification (DDC or CC), Cataloguing (AACRII or CCC), Reference service, Circulation Service, Acquistion:handling procurement of reading materials & invoice processing. * Serials section: Subscription & Circulation. * Computer skills: Proficient in/hands on experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook). Internet Search. Desirable skills: * HTML. * Hands on experience with Libsys software or any other library automation software. * Hands on experience with Digital Library software like GSDL or Dspace. * CAS. * Content page scanning/designing. * Designing electronic newsletters in HTML (HTML coding or by using applications like Front page, Netscape composer etc.) Salary: As per the industry standard (Par with the salary of PTs at the Library of IT companies).
