Dear Professional Freinds, I agree with what Dr. Shalini Urs has mentioned about the Role being played by the LIS-Forum being run by NCSI. Here I would like to share my personal views how the forum is helpful to the people in general and Library professionals in particular.  All members are not actively participating in communicating / sending the messages and that does not mean that only few members are using the LIS- Forum for example me itself. Though I am not sending the messages regularly but, regularly, I go through the messages and lots of things I am able to know by going through the messages sent to this forum be it the professional activities , knowing some of the technical details, new web sites found by someone etc. etc. like this many such things I come to know from this forum. So, like me, many others are getting such benefits though this forum though they are not acticve communicators to the forum.  C U Navalgund Dy.
