Respected Professionals, This is Jamil Ahmed, final year student of ADIS (Associateship in Documentation and Information Science from Documentation Research and Training Centre (DRTC) ISI Bangalore. I took admission here after completed B.L.I.Sc. As we all know Documentation Research and Training Centre, ISI Bangalore is the renowned Institute in India in the field of Library and Information Science and the course ADIS is equivalent to Master degree. On 23rd September 1980 Ministry of Education and Culture recognized the ADIS is equivalent to master degree. But, one of my senior who has qualified UGC NET last year and he did not get certificate of UGC NET till now, why because UGC said that ADIS is not equivalent to master degree and refused to give certificate. He is facing a lot of problem for getting job where NET is required. Please advise whether it is ok or not, if he is fighting for his right. Please forward for your advice and suggestions.
