Will the internet kill the printed book?
Dear professionals, Of course Internet is a medium where authors can put their knowledge in a form that is accessible easily, but the main question remains the same as the authenticity of the source and more important users choice of the source. As a professional my personal experience is that users ask for documents from internet but for the purpose of consultation they always prefer printed material. In our collection we have got more than 200 e-books, but users have always asked for their printed version, they feel more comfortable with that. So Internet will remain a platform for sharing knowledge and easy retrieval of that, but rest all depends on users choice and at the moment they are going for printed documents and driving force will remain users only.
