Higher Education as the largest service industry in developing the human resources must concern always on quality in terms of the environment, facility, the resources and teaching learning process. Libraries as the heart of the Higher Educational Institutions are taking more academic space in this digital era. Web technologies and web resources are becoming the more relevant is the present day knowledge society and in quality of the education. It warrants libraries to provide sophisticated information services adopting the technology within and beyond the institutions. It may be possible mainly because of quality enhancement and quality sustenance of library resources and facilities. The role of NAAC and NBA of AICTE is eminent in accelerating the quality movement in Higher Education in the country. The impact of these apex bodies has greatly influenced in enhancing the library and information environment in the Higher Educational Institutions over the period. It is an imperative for library professional to understand and implement the quality parameters of NAAC and MBA for the quality sustenance and quality enhancement in products and services.
