Professor Hans Raj Chopra, Chaiman, Department of Library & Information Science, Panjab University retired on 28th February 2006 after putting in more that 40 years of active service committed to Librarianship.Prof. Chopra has been serving the Panjab University, Chandigarh since 1960-61 in various capacities. He served the Panjab University Library as a Library Professional for more than ten years before joining as full time teacher with the Department of Library & Information Science. As a tribute to his commitment and dedication to the profession, the Chandigarh Librarians Association (CLA), Chandigarh organised a function in honour of Professor H R Chopra on 28th February 2006. On this ocassion a Felicitation Volume - "Vistas of Information Management: Professor H R Chopra Felicitation Volume" was realeased by Prof. Veer Singh, Dean University Instruction, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
