Sachdeva from J K Padampat Singhania Institute of Management & Technology, Gurgaon asked for Gross enrolment ratio in Higher Education in Haryana. Gross enrolment ratio in Higher Education in Haryana (aged between 18-24 years) in the year 2003-04 was 10.62%. This is the latest figure I could find. Most probably it had not crossed 12%. As per Education census 2001, Indian average was 12.4%. Right now it is nearly 13% as Govt. has fixed the target of achieving 15% GER in higher education by the end of 11th five year plan. World average is roughly 26%.
