Muthiah Mr. Muthiah worked as Foreign News Editor and Features Editor of The Times of Ceylon , besides being in charge of the Sunday Times , the Groups magazine publications and The Times of Ceylon Annual . Represented in Ceylon , the London News Chronicle , the London Daily Mail, The Observer , London . He was in charge of TT Maps & Publications Ltd, Chennai. Retired as President of the Company in October 1990, but continued as President Emeritus till 2005. Taught Journalism and Print Production (1972-1997) at the Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, Madras (for Government-recognised diplomas), Anna Technological University and the University of Madras . An office-bearer of the Madras Printers and Lithographers Association, the All India Federation of Master Printers, the Booksellers and Publishers Association of South India, the Federation of Indian Publishers, the Indian Geography Association, the Indian National Cartographic Association and the Public Relations Society of India (Tamil Nadu Chapter), he is also a Co-convener of INTACH Tamil Nadu Chapter. Awarded in March 2002, the MBE by the Queen of England for work on Heritage and Environment Conservation in Madras . Authored 18 books with historical backgrounds mainly on Madras . Mr. Muthiah works as an Information Consultant and freelance editor for various institutions and publishers through his editorial consultancy service, Madras Editorial Services. Since 1991, have edited Madras Musings , a city fortnightly concerned with the Citys heritage and environment.
