Dear Sir/ Madam, I am pleased to inform you that National Conference on `EMPOWERING LIBRARIES FOR LIFE-LONG LEARNING SKILLS [Excellence, Creativity and Challenges] – NCEL 2012’, is being organized at Gulbarga, Karnataka by Gulbarga Division College Librarians’ Association (R) in association with Karnataka State College Librarians’ Association from 17-18 August 2012 coinciding the birthday celebration of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the father of Indian Library Science. This Convention provides platform for sharing knowledge and expertise among Information Science community and facilitate to strategic directions for building knowledge society to acquire libraries for lifelong learning skills to develop excellence in changing digital library environ. About 450 plus library professionals across the country are expected to participate in this mega event.
