With the passing away of Prof. Kaula, the LIS profession in the country has lost a person who has become a legend in his own lifetime. I was privileged to listen few of his lectures and was really impressed with his powerful oratory skills and his passionate appeal to professionals to feel proud of their own profession. On behalf of the Library of the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, I express my heartfelt condolence to his bereaved family. May his soul rest in peace in heavenly abode. Prabhash N. I fondly remember Prof. Kaula for an important contribution of his that has touched my life in my student days and early career growth: HERALD OF LIBRARY SCIENCE, a journal he started publishing about 45 years ago which is sustained. I use to read this journal as a student regularly. As fournder Editor and regular writer iin his journal, he became my distant teacher. May his great soul rest in peace.
