Sad and shocking news of Dr Anand's death

With great sadness and shock, I inform you of the passing of our much loved and respected professional, Dr Ananda T. Byrappa, Librarian, JRD TATA Memorial Library, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Dr Anand passed away Tuesday, 19 July 2022, around 10.45 PM. A valued member of the library team, he will be greatly missed. Please keep Anand’s family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time. Anand’s final rites will be performed today, Wednesday, at 4 PM in Tumukalahalli, Chickballapur Taluk. His residential address is 2nd Main Road, AMS Layout, Vidyaranyapura, Bengaluru. It is very shocking, Anand was a dynamic and visionary leader with a mix of corporate and academic world. He was an inspiration to many young professionals and one of the most sought after library professional. As part of NCSI-Net family, we used to look upon him for guidance. We will miss him a lot. May his family get the strength to bear this loss.
